The Hidden Genius Project is a fast-growing, national organization founded by entrepreneurs. In 2012 we launched our flagship Intensive Immersion Program, serving five students in our first year, while staffed entirely by volunteers and a budget of $1,500. In year three, we were the winner of a $500K Google Impact Grant. By year five, Google doubled its investment with $1M in support. During year ten, Smartsheet amplified our impact by placing our logo on two F1 McLaren racecars.

Since 2012, we’ve served over 9,300 young people across all of our programming opportunities. Over 500 Geniuses have participated in our 15-month Intensive Immersion Program, with cohorts in Oakland, Richmond, Los Angeles, and Detroit, including Chicago and Atlanta (launching this Summer 2023).

In addition to staying connected, many Hidden Genius Alumni return to serve as Youth Educators (facilitators) at Catalyst and Community Partner Programing. Several of the students have started successful businesses, working in their communities, and providing inspiration to the incoming students.
