On the latest episode of “Community Champions,” Anna Kagarakis finds out how the Warriors are celebrating Black History Month, and talks to forward Kevon Looney at Oracle Basketball Clinic.

The Warriors worked with two amazing Oakland non-profits that were founded by local African-American community leaders: Hidden Genius and Team Inc.  Anna found out more about the organizations from their Program Directors, and checked out the interactive event that not only got kids on the court, but also introduced them to coding and sports analytics.

We also hear from Alfonzo McKinnie at the “Read to Achieve Rally,” presented by Ross Stores at Futures Elementary School, where he and Damian Jones read books to students and discussed the importance of reading skills within the theme of Black History Month.
